Hodge Hill Girls' School is a small family school which knows and cares for every child.  It is our intention to create a welcoming and caring environment where all our pupils can achieve.  In order to prepare for joining our school, we recommend that our new pupils, their families and carers familise themselves with the information on this website.  There is lots of information on key contact, pastoral care, school uniform, the school day, lunchtime arrangements and much more.

Induction Evening

This year Year 6 Induction Evening takes place on Monday 17th June 2019 from 5:00pm. Parents and carers of Year 6 pupils joining our school in September have received a letter with an induction pack.  There will be ample opportunity for parents to ask staff and current pupils more detailed questions in addition to:

  • Welcome presentation by Mrs Adu, Headteacher.
  • Admissions meeting with a member of staff to complete the enrolment process and ensure you have all the relevant information you need ready for joining our school in September 2019.
  • An opportunity to purchase our school uniform from our uniform suppliers Mansuri and RAK.

It is essential that parents/carers complete all the documentation that were received with the recent letter and bring these documents with you to the Induction Evening.  Parents are also reminded that they need to bring their daughter's birth certificate or passport to the Induction Evening to enable us to check the correct spelling of her name and date of birth.  It is essential that the names correspond exactly for the purposes of examination entries.

Induction Day

On Wednesday 3rd July 2019 all Year 6 pupils starting the following September are welcomed for a day where they experience daily life at Hodge Hill Girls' School.

We kindly request that, should parents be bringing their daughter to the induction day, they say their goodbyes at the school gate and encourage their daughter to walk down the school path independently.  Please note that there is no onsite parking for parents to drop their daughters.

Pupils should arrive at Hodge Hill Girls' School by 8:25am.  They may wear their own sensible clothes that are suitable for a school day.  We recommend that pupils wear trainers or plimsolls as they will be taking part in a variety of physical activities, including games.  It is also recommended that pupils do not bring valuable items such as mobile phones or jewellery.  Pupils with asthma and/or allergies must bring their inhaler and/or prescribed medication with them.

All Year 6 pupils will be provided with food and drink at breaktime and lunchtime, which is provided by the school.  Pupils may also bring a healthy packed lunch, if they wish.  Please do not bring fizzy or caffeine based drinks, crisps, gum or sweets as these are not allowed in school.

The day will finish at 2:45pm, when there will be an additional opportunity to purchase school uniform ready for joining our school in September.
