Meetings - Code of Conduct

In all public services there is an expectation of conduct which promotes good communication and understanding between all parties.

Please help us to help you by:

  • Calling in or telephoning to make an appointment
  • Bringing some notes to ensure you raise all the points you want to share and discuss
  • Being prepared to listen in return
  • Remembering there are two sides to every situation. We understand how distressing it is if your daughter is upset, but like us, you model to your daughter how to approach difficult situations throughout life

Phone Calls - Code of Conduct

In all public services there is an expectation of conduct which promotes good communication and understanding between all parties.

Please help us to help you by:

  • Understanding that you may not be able to speak to the person requested immediately as staff may be teaching or carrying out other responsibilities at that time.
  • Having some notes ready to ensure you raise all points you want to share and/or discuss.
  • Speaking calmly, avoiding personal comments or sweeping judgements.
  • Being prepared to listen in return
  • Remembering there are two sides to every situation. We understand how distressing it is if your daughter is upset, but like us, you model to your daughter how to approach difficult situations throughout life

Please note, any rude, offensive or threatening verbal or physical behaviour will result in the termination of the meeting or telephone call and may result in the individual being refused access to the school without prior arrangement with the Head Teacher or the Governing Body.
