House System

 

The House System at Hodge Hill Girls' School first began in the academic year 2021/2022, in addition to the implementation of a brand new School Council.

Our House Leaders and House Captains were selected at the start of the 2021/2022 academic year by applying for the role. Students were tasked to send in a detailed application form of their suitability and commitment to being role models within the school as captains and leaders.

 

House Captains

Our House Captains take lead for the entire House Group. This is a significant opportunity to be a leader in school and organise events, competitions, and become the pupil voice for your year group, across school life, and within the House Group.

House Captains are given a badge to wear on their blazer to help identify them to other pupils and staff. At the end of the year, House Captains receive a certificate to show they have been a leader. This is significant for college applications, specifically to colleges/grammar schools that search for extracurricular activities beyond effective grades.

 

House Leaders

Our House Leaders are the lead person who represent their house for the year group.

The House Leaders help in school to organise events, competitions and become the pupil voice for their respective year group, and house.
