There are currently two art competition open to our pupils.  Home Matters by Birmingham Friends of the Earth and Inspire 2018 Art Competition by Birmingham Museums.

Home Matters

Birmingham Friends of the Earth are currently running a free art competition to raise awareness of individuals forced to flee their home as a result of human caused climate change. Often know as 'climate refugees' these individuals, once forced from their home, have no rights or protections, unlike refugees of war. It is estimated that 1 person every single second is forced from there home for these reasons.

As part of this compettion entrants are asked to artistically express their connection with their own home and 'What home means to me'. The aim is to encourages people to see the emotional impact on those forced to flee their home in a novel way.

The competition is open to all ages and abilities with a closing date of 6th May. There are three age categories from 3-11, 12-18 and 18+. More information is available here.
