At Hodge Hill Girls’ School we pride ourselves on our work to support charities at a local, national and international level. Being charitable and having empathy towards others is an important character trait which is at the heart of our school PRIDE values and ethos.
All members of our school community work in collaboration to plan activities and events, raising funds to support those in need. We annually raise funds linked to key themes such as ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’, Remembrance Day and Comic Relief and also support local organisations such as the Aston & Nechells Food Bank and Trident Charity for the Homeless as well as continuing our work with UNICEF supporting children in danger on a global level.
As a school we are reflective and through feedback from student voice activities, additional fund-raising activities take place throughout the year which enables us to make a positive contribution to other charities and support further causes.
